How to serve Champagne?
Champagne is best served at a temperature of 8-10°C (store the bottle in the least cold part of the refrigerator for 3 hours, but never chill it in the freezer). You can also put your bottle in a bucket filled with ice and water (label may soak off).
Use tulip-shaped glasses (flûtes) previously washed by hand without any detergent. Fill them about 2/3 and start the tasting. Are you ready?
How to taste Champagne?
Find a quiet time and place where your five senses can be aroused.
First the TOUCH… when taking the bottle and the Champagne glasses.
Then the HEARING… when opening the bottle and listening to the subtle sparkling poured into the glasses.
The SIGHT… when observing the bubbles ballet, the fine froth and necklace on the glass surface, the colour.
The SMELL… when inhaling the delicate flavours of Champagne.
And finally the TASTE… the moment has come to put it in your mouth and taste!
